Bideford AAC’s Shaun Antell was 1st in 01:10:50, Bideford AAC’s Ronnie Richmond 2nd in 01:11:45 and George Prewett from Tamar Trotters 3rd in 01:14:06

The fastest lady was Emma Schuck from Hayle Runners in 01:21:11, followed by Serane Stone from Tiverton Harriers in 01:22:56

First Vet Female Team: Cornwall AC (Zelah Morral, Kathryn Burgess, Rachael Thomas)Talk about a swift half!
The course takes in magnificent countryside alongside the River Torridge between Bideford and Great Torrington. The course is half on roads and half on the Tarka Trail, you even get to run through a tunnel. A moderately flat race with one small hill section.

A chip timed race – race numbers with built-in chips and information will be posted to runners
For the first time all finishers will receive a medal plus race memento. All our races in 2016 will offer a medal (as well as a race memento), the medals will be unique to each race; however if you run all three of our races and collect all three medals they will stack together to form one extra special medal, the half marathon is the first medal in the series.
Prizes for first six males and first six females, best single fancy dress entry and trophies in all categories. Break the male / female course record extra £50 (male 01:06:09, female 01:17;15)
Race limit: 1,500
Race assembly 10.20am (please allow plenty of time to collect you race number if you are a late entry).
Changing rooms, showers, bar and refreshments available. We regret that the course is unsuitable for wheelchairs. No dogs, pushchairs or walkers permitted. Entry fees are non-refundable.
STRICTLY NO MUSIC HEADPHONES AND EARPHONES DURING THE RACE
Competitors must be over 17 years of age to run a half marathon
